Marlborough Savings Bank has just learned of a phone scam targeting local bank customers. Customers are being called and asked to verify personal and sensitive information. This is indeed a hoax. No employee from Marlborough Savings Bank would ever call customers to verify social security numbers, bank accounts or passwords.
If you receive a call such as this, please hang up. Do not divulge any personal information. If you have already supplied such information, please contact our Security & Compliance Officer, Wendi Comey at 508-481-8300 during normal business hours or email her at wcomey@marlboroughsavings.com.
The Marlborough Police Department has been notified and is aware of the phone scam. For additional information on ways to protect your identity and personal data, please read several articles in our Resource Center such as How to Avoid Becoming a Victim of Identity Theft.
